Title: Animal Farm
Author: George Orwell
My Rating (out of 5): 3.5
Why?: I was expecting more. I didn’t get the hype of the novel. It was a good story, but people claimed it as “Great American literature,” and I definitely didn’t get that.
Brief summary: The animals on Manor farm are fed up with the humans abusing them and they stage a rebellion. Once they succeed in driving the humans out of the farm, they are on top of the world. But, can they over come many challenges, including rule changes, a traitor, and a dictator? Read and find out.
Who I would recommend this book to: I would recommend this book to anyone who likes strong symbolism and like to decipher things.
